高氯化聚乙烯是具有优良综合性能的高分子聚合物，溶于芳烃、酯、乙二醇等，与所有的无机颜料和有机颜料都有很好的相溶性，它具有良好的成膜性、耐候性、耐臭氧性、耐燃性、耐油性和耐化学品性，在很多领域从而取代环氧树脂、氯化橡胶、氯磺化聚乙烯、过氯乙烯等材料。
高氯化聚乙烯主要用于制造阻燃性、耐磨的重防腐涂料、高档粘接剂、高级油墨，在涂料方面，可广泛应用于化工设备、油田管道、海洋设施、船舶、冶金矿山、盐业、渔场、三废处理、电力设备、集装箱等行业中。
在其它领域的应用：可以用作纸张、纤维的防火剂（阻燃性），氯丁胶、丁晴胶等橡胶系列的粘合剂及耐热改性剂，以及纸张、铝箔所用油墨的改性剂。

In other fields of application: can be used as paper, fiber fire retardant (flame retardant), neoprene, NBR and other rubber series adhesives and heat-resistant modifier, as well as paper, aluminum foil used in the modified ink agent.
